Boston Marathon 2010 runners
Sharon Yogel
I have completed 10 marathons in five years. I am passionate about fitness, running, and mentoring others. This year I will be co-chairing the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids marathon team and I am both thrilled and honored to be involved with such a great charity that truly makes a difference in the lives of diadvantaged children . As a mother of two children , ages 21 and 17, I feel we will all be winners at the end of our marathon endeavor because we will have raised funds to help support numerous children in need.
Adam Waitkevich
My name is Adam Waitkevich. I am 37 and a proud father of three. My wife Diane and I are blessed with three vibrant and healthy children and together we are passionate about seeking local opportunities to help those less fortunate. In April, 2010 I will be running my first-ever marathon on behalf of Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids and am honored to do so. My inspiration for this daunting challenge will come from the knowledge that I -along with your pledges- will be making a direct and meaningful impact to improving the lives of magnificent and deserving local children.
Jessica Gilmartin
Six years ago, I stopped practicing law to stay at home with my children. I am 40 years old and embarking on my first marathon journey. I have been motivated and inspired by the opportunity to run for the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids marathon team and look forward to helping the children who benefit from the work done by this amazing charity. I look forward to training hard and reaching my marathon goals. Currently, I am also working towards another goal of mine – starting my own custom drapery business.
Dave Guaraldi
I am 47 years old and work as a Principal Technology Specialist at Cognex Corporation. I have been running seriously now for 2 years, having participated in races ranging from 5K’s to half marathons. For the past 20 years, I have watched the runners of the Boston Marathon but never imagined one day I would be running! When I was given the chance to contribute to such a worthy cause I couldn’t resist. I look forward to running in my first full marathon, and I owe it all to Kevin Youkilis and the Hits for Kids marathon team.
Eileen Comeau
In October 2009, I ran in the Marine Corps marathon in Washington DC and have participated in many local road races. Fitness has always been an important part of my life. I enjoy running, teaching aerobics, skiing, and spending time with my two sons, Markie and Jay. For over 17 years I have worked at Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently I work in the medical intensive care unit at MGH, as well as practice internal medicine at Compass Medical, P.C. I am thrilled to be running the Boston Marathon as a member of the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids marathon team.
Marc Provost
I am 38 years old and the Marketing Manager at Mohegan Sun Casino. My passions include charity work, sports, working out, and dogs. This will be my first marathon, but I enjoy running and have participated in many 5k races. I chose to run the Boston Marathon as a member of the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids marathon team because I want to help Kevin, Enza, and everyone associated with this great organization. It will be a challenge for me, but I want to do my part to help raise money for this great cause and all its amazing children.
Pat Tobin
Running in the Boston Marathon has been a life long dream of mine, and finally, that dream will come true on April 19, 2010. I am passionate about my faith, my family, and my desire to help others. Being a member of the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids marathon team gives me with the opportunity to do something I’m passionate about as well as achieve one of my own personal goals. My husband Bill is a retired US Army Officer and we have had the privilege of living in both Germany and Washington DC.
Maureen Fromm
I am a personal trainer and the owner of Total Skin Care II. I am honored to be running as part of the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids marathon team. This is my first marathon so it will be challenge, but it is people like Kevin and Enza that have inspired me and many others to put ourselves aside and make efforts to help the children who need us most. With each event and every meeting we get one step closer to giving those children less fortunate than us a future they can look forward to and be proud of.
Peter Aisenberg
My name is Peter Aisenberg and I am 44 years old. My occupation has been in sales or sales management in The Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Industry for the last 25 years. My first Marathon was Disney in January 2009, my second was New York City in November or 2009. I look forward to running Boston for two reasons. First, its a great opportunity to have the privilege of raising money for Youkskids. Second, living along the marathon route for most of my life, it has become part of my life. I look forward to the event every year to cheer on the runners and celebrate this wonderful yearly event. My personal passion, over the years, is recreational running.
Enza Sambataro-Youkilis
I am 31 years old and the Co-Founder & President of Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids. This will be my first marathon and I am so happy to being doing something great for others while achieving a life long goal of mine. Being a mom, spending time with my family and friends, and helping children are my personal passions.
Jim Clerkin
I am 31 years old and the Music Director/ Producer of Matty in the Morning on KISS 108. This will be my very first Marathon and am happy to be helping Youk’s Kids. When Enza asked me to join this cause, I knew it would be an adventure I was ready to take on.
Byron Byfield
In April I will be running my first marathon as part of the Kevin Youkilis Hit for Kids marathon team. When the opportunity to run the Boston Marathon was presented to me at Compass Medical by Dr. Clairmont, I jumped at the chance! As a survivor of bacterial meningitis, I realize how fortunate I am and have made a commitment to give back to the community. For me it starts with being a part of this marathon team; and being able to raise money for such an amazing charity makes this race even more meaningful for me.

I will be running my first marathon as part of the Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids Marathon team. I chose to be a part of this team to show my support for Kevin and Enza, and to help spread awareness for the many children in need throughout Boston. On a personal level, I will be running for Kelsey. Kelsey Harrington was a child that I took care of for almost 8 years. She was an angel who taught me many lesions and it is her spirit that fuels one of my personal passions – The Kelsey Harrington Foundation, which I started after Kelsey pass away almost five years ago.
